How do I clean my list?
Create a free account, upload your CSV file, and the cleaner scrubs your numbers against Federal and State DNC registries, TCPA litigator databases, and disconnected-line checks. Your cleaned file downloads when it's done.
Is there a minimum list size?
No. Clean a list of any size — from a few hundred numbers to millions. You only pay for the records you clean.
Do my cleaning credits expire?
No. Clean Credits never expire. Once purchased, they stay in your account until you use them.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards. No wire transfers or checks required.
Can I test before paying?
Yes. Use the Free Scan tool to upload a list and see how many numbers are mobile, landline, DNC-registered, or invalid — at no cost and with no signup.
What format is my cleaned list delivered in?
Your cleaned list is returned as a downloadable CSV. All your original columns are preserved, and removed records (DNC, litigators, landlines, invalid) are provided in separate files.
Cleaning Quality
How are numbers checked?
Every record runs through carrier verification, a DNC Registry check (federal + 17+ state lists), a TCPA litigator database check, and landline/VoIP filtering.
What gets removed from my list?
DNC-registered numbers, known TCPA litigators, disconnected numbers, and landlines (when you choose mobile-only) are flagged and separated out so you're left with clean, dialable records.
What if I think a result is wrong?
Contact support at info@cleanleads365.com. We review questions about cleaning results and make it right.
List Cleaning
How long does list cleaning take?
Most lists process in under 60 seconds regardless of size.
Is my uploaded data secure?
Uploaded files are processed in aggregate only and automatically deleted within 24 hours. Individual records are never stored or sold.
What is a lead cleaning service?
A lead cleaning service processes your existing contact lists to remove invalid data, duplicates, and compliance risks. We validate phone numbers, identify mobile vs landline, check DNC registries, and remove bad entries—leaving you with a clean, compliant list.
What file formats can I upload for cleaning?
We accept CSV files. Your file should have phone numbers in a column—we automatically detect the phone column. All other columns in your file are preserved in the output.
What's included in a cleaned list?
You receive: (1) your cleaned list with only valid, dialable numbers, (2) separate files for removed entries (landlines, DNC, invalid), (3) a summary report showing what was cleaned. All original data columns are preserved.
Do you offer bulk pricing for large lists?
Yes, we offer volume discounts for large-scale cleaning. Contact our sales team for custom pricing on lists over 100,000 records. We also offer monthly subscription plans for ongoing cleaning needs.
Can you clean lists on a recurring schedule?
Absolutely. Many customers upload fresh lists weekly or monthly. We can set up automated cleaning via API integration with your data sources, so your lists are always current and compliant.
Pricing & Credits
How does the credit system work?
Cleaning is priced with Clean Credits — 1 credit per phone number checked, at a flat per-credit rate with no volume tiers. Credits never expire. See our pricing page for current rates.
What are Clean Credits?
Clean Credits are the currency used for DNC scrubbing and list cleaning. Each phone number you clean costs 1 Clean Credit. You only pay for what you clean. See our pricing page for current per-credit rates.
Do credits expire?
No. Clean Credits never expire. Once purchased, they remain in your account until used.
Are there annual contracts or commitments?
No long-term contracts. Purchase credits when you need them and scale up or down freely.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Larger credit packages have a lower per-credit cost. You can also use the Custom Credit Pack Builder on the pricing page to create a package tailored to your exact needs with volume discounts automatically applied.
Can I build a custom package?
Yes. Use the Custom Credit Pack Builder on the pricing page to slide to your desired credit amount and get instant pricing. Volume discounts are applied automatically.
How do I know how many credits I need?
Estimate based on the size of the lists you clean. One credit cleans one phone number, so 100,000 credits cleans 100,000 numbers. Start with a smaller package to test your usage, then scale up.
Do you offer a free way to test?
Yes. Use the Free Scan tool to test your list quality at no cost before you buy any cleaning credits.
Compliance & Legal
Does cleaning make my list DNC-compliant?
When you clean a list, every number is scrubbed against Federal and State Do Not Call registries so DNC-registered numbers are removed before you dial.
What is DNC compliance for calling lists?
DNC (Do Not Call) compliance means ensuring phone numbers are screened against the Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry and applicable state DNC lists before outbound calling. Calling numbers on these lists without permission can result in fines up to $43,792 per violation.
What is TCPA and how does it affect outbound calling?
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulates telemarketing calls, auto-dialed calls, prerecorded messages, and text messages. It requires prior express consent before calling cell phones with autodialers or sending marketing texts. Violations can result in $500–$1,500 per call/text.
How does Clean Leads 365 help with compliance?
We scrub your phone numbers against Federal and State DNC registries when you clean a list. We also screen against known TCPA litigator databases to reduce lawsuit risk. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the data complies with all applicable laws.
What about TCPA compliance?
We screen for known TCPA litigators when cleaning your list. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the data complies with all applicable laws including TCPA. We do not provide legal advice.
Can I use my cleaned list for outbound calling?
After DNC scrubbing, your cleaned list may be used for outbound calling in accordance with applicable laws. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own internal DNC list and following TCPA guidelines. Clean Leads 365 does not provide legal or compliance advice.
What about CCPA compliance?
We support CCPA requirements including consumer deletion requests and data access inquiries. Our Privacy Policy details how California residents can exercise their rights.
What is the CAN-SPAM Act?
CAN-SPAM regulates commercial email messages. It requires clear identification, valid physical address, opt-out mechanism, and honoring unsubscribe requests within 10 days. You are responsible for ensuring your email communications comply with CAN-SPAM.
Does Clean Leads 365 provide legal or compliance advice?
No. Clean Leads 365 does not provide legal, tax, or compliance advice. All data is provided on an as-is basis for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for ensuring lawful use of the data. We encourage consulting legal counsel for compliance questions.
What are my responsibilities when calling a cleaned list?
As the end user, you are responsible for: (1) Complying with TCPA regulations for your specific calling method, (2) Honoring opt-out requests and maintaining internal suppression lists, (3) Following state-specific telemarketing laws, (4) Ensuring your calling practices meet industry regulations for your sector.
Does TCPA apply to outbound sales calls?
Yes. Anyone making outbound sales calls must comply with TCPA regulations, including DNC scrubbing, consent requirements, and calling time restrictions.
DNC Compliance
Which DNC lists do you check against?
The National Do Not Call Registry plus all 17+ individual state DNC lists. We also check against our proprietary database of known TCPA litigators — individuals who specifically file lawsuits against companies that call them.
Does scrubbing guarantee I won't be sued?
No compliance service can guarantee zero legal risk, but scrubbing against DNC and litigator lists significantly reduces your exposure. We recommend consulting a compliance attorney for your specific situation.
What is the Do Not Call registry?
The National Do Not Call Registry is a database maintained by the FTC where consumers can register their phone numbers to opt out of telemarketing calls. Telemarketers must scrub their lists against this registry before calling.
What are the penalties for DNC violations?
Violations of the Do Not Call rules can result in fines up to $43,792 per call. The FTC and state attorneys general actively enforce these rules, and class action lawsuits can add significant additional costs.
How often is the DNC list updated?
The Federal DNC Registry is updated daily. Telemarketers must scrub their lists at least every 31 days. State DNC registries have varying update frequencies, typically monthly or quarterly.
What is the difference between Federal and State DNC registries?
The Federal DNC Registry is maintained by the FTC and covers all 50 states. Some states also maintain their own DNC lists with additional registrations. Full compliance requires checking both. Clean Leads 365 scrubs against all applicable registries.
Do state DNC lists differ from the Federal list?
Yes. Many states maintain their own DNC registries with additional numbers not on the Federal list. Some states have stricter rules and shorter grace periods. Clean Leads 365 scrubs against all 50 state registries.
What is the Established Business Relationship (EBR) exemption?
If a consumer has an existing business relationship with you, you may call them even if they're on the DNC list—but only for 18 months after the last transaction or 3 months after an inquiry. However, they can still request to be added to your internal DNC list.
Are B2B calls exempt from DNC rules?
Calls to business phone lines (not personal cell phones of business contacts) are generally exempt from the Federal DNC Registry. However, you must still honor individual DNC requests, and some states have stricter B2B calling rules.
What are TCPA litigators and why do you screen for them?
TCPA litigators are individuals who deliberately register for contact lists and file repeated lawsuits against companies for alleged TCPA violations — fines can reach $51,744 per call. We maintain a database of known litigators and remove them from your lists before you download.
What is a TCPA litigator database?
TCPA litigator databases track phone numbers associated with individuals who have filed TCPA lawsuits. Calling these numbers carries high legal risk. Clean Leads 365 offers litigator scrubbing to remove these high-risk numbers.
How do I maintain my own internal DNC list?
You must maintain an internal list of consumers who have asked not to be called. Honor these requests within 30 days. Keep records for at least 5 years. Our cleaner can help you deduplicate and manage your internal suppression list.
How does Clean Leads 365 ensure DNC compliance?
We scrub your lists against the Federal DNC Registry, all 50 state DNC registries, and TCPA litigator databases. Our database is updated daily, and we provide compliance documentation for your records.

How long does DNC scrubbing take?
Most lists under 10,000 records are processed in under 5 minutes. Larger files may take up to 30 minutes.
Is there a free option for scrubbing?
Yes — your first 100 records are scrubbed free with no credit card required.
What does the free scan include?

Can I re-download my cleaned file?
Yes, cleaned files are available for download for 30 days after processing.
Can I scrub against my own suppression list?
Yes, you can upload your internal do-not-call list or previous customer file, and we'll remove any matches. This helps you honor opt-out requests and avoid calling existing customers.
Mobile vs Landline
Why remove landlines from my list?
Landlines have significantly lower answer rates than mobile phones — often 5-10% compared to 30-40% for mobiles. Many also go to fax machines or shared business lines. Filtering landlines out focuses your dials on numbers most likely to connect with a real person.
How do you verify a number is mobile vs landline?
We use real-time carrier lookup technology that queries telecom databases to identify the line type. This returns whether a number is wireless (mobile), wireline (landline), or VoIP with 98%+ accuracy.
Can I keep only mobile numbers when cleaning?
Yes. Apply the mobile-only option and the cleaner separates out landlines and VoIP so you keep only verified cellular numbers.
Do I still need TCPA consent for mobile numbers?
Yes. The TCPA has specific requirements for calling mobile phones, especially for automated or prerecorded calls. Cleaning your list reduces risk, but you are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate consent for your calling method.
Phone Number Scrubbing
What is phone number scrubbing?
Phone number scrubbing is the process of validating and cleaning phone numbers in your contact database. It identifies and removes landlines, disconnected numbers, invalid formats, and numbers registered on Do-Not-Call lists, leaving you with a clean list of valid mobile numbers.
How do you identify landlines vs mobile numbers?
We use real-time carrier lookup technology that queries telecom databases to identify the line type for each number. This returns whether a number is a mobile (wireless), landline (wireline), or VoIP number with 98%+ accuracy.
Why should I remove landlines from my call list?
Landlines have significantly lower answer rates than mobile phones—often 5-10% compared to 30-40% for mobiles. Additionally, many landlines go to fax machines or business lines. Removing landlines focuses your calling on numbers most likely to connect with real prospects.
What happens to invalid phone numbers?
Invalid numbers are separated into a reject file that you can download. This includes disconnected numbers, numbers with invalid formats, and numbers that fail carrier validation. You'll know exactly what was removed and why.
What file format will I receive after scrubbing?
You'll receive CSV files that include: (1) your cleaned list with only valid mobile numbers, (2) a file of removed landlines, (3) a file of DNC matches, and (4) a file of invalid/disconnected numbers. All original data columns are preserved.
What is a lead scrubber?
A lead scrubber is a tool that cleans and validates your contact lists by removing invalid numbers, landlines, DNC-registered numbers, and duplicates. This ensures your call lists are compliant and contain only reachable mobile contacts.
How does lead scrubbing help with TCPA compliance?
The TCPA imposes fines of $500-$1,500 per violation for calling numbers on the Do-Not-Call registry. Our lead scrubber automatically removes DNC numbers and landlines (which have different consent requirements), helping you avoid costly violations.
How fast can I scrub my lead list?
Most lists are processed in seconds to minutes. Upload your CSV file, select your scrubbing options, and download your cleaned list immediately. We process thousands of numbers per minute.
How accurate is your phone number validation?
Our validation uses real-time carrier lookups with 98%+ accuracy. We identify disconnected numbers, line type (mobile vs landline), and carrier information to ensure maximum list quality.
